ABOUT
Born in Holland and raised in Paris, Lola Ehrlich is an autodidact whose bohemian parents shielded her from formal education. She became a ballet dancer and did a bit of fashion modelling in her teens, quit to marry an american travel writer, and was widowed at 26. Lola then moved to New York and worked for several years as a magazine editor before opening a hat shop in the east village. Now based in Brooklyn, she specializes in hats that combine old world craftsmanship with contemporary design.
